چکیده

The sequential changes occurring with cancer progression are now being harnessed with therapeutic intent. Yet, there is no understanding of the chemical thermodynamics of proteomic changes associated with cancer progression/ cancer stage. This manuscript reveals a strong correlation of a chemical thermodynamic measure (known as Gibbs free energy) of protein-protein interaction networks for several cancer types and 5-year overall survival and stage in patients with cancer. Earlier studies have linked degree entropy of signaling networks to patient survival data, but not with stage. It appears that Gibbs free energy is a more general metric and accounts better for the underlying energetic landscape of protein expression in cells, thus correlating with stage as well as survival. This is an especially timely finding because of improved ability to obtain and analyze genomic/ proteomic information from individual patients. Yet, at least at present, only candidate gene imaging (FISH or immunohistochemistry) can be used for entropy computations. With continually expanding use of genomic . Comparative analysis of chemical and thermal denatured 13-lactoglobu1in A in the presence of sugar osmolytes

Chemical denaturation and thermal denaturation of13-lactoglobulin A (f3 — lgA) in the absenceand presence of various concentrations sugar osmolytes and polyols were measured bymonitoring changes in the absorption coefficients at pH 2.0. It has been observed that AGD°(H20), (Gibbs free energy change in absence of denaturant at 25 °C) of f3-1gA in the presenceof 10% (w/v) Trehalose, Sucrose, Sorb...

Study of Human Albumin Protein Interaction with Fluorouracil Anticancer Drug Using Molecular Docking Method

Introduction: Drugs are mainly delivered to the target tissues by plasma proteins, such as human serum albumin, in the human body. Practical information about the thermodynamic parameters of drugs and their stability can be obtained using simulation methods, such as molecular docking. Material & Methods: This study, investigated the molecular docking of human serum albumin with fluorouracil an...

Thermodynamic measures of cancer: Gibbs free energy and entropy of protein-protein interactions.

Thermodynamics is an important driving factor for chemical processes and for life. Earlier work has shown that each cancer has its own molecular signaling network that supports its life cycle and that different cancers have different thermodynamic entropies characterizing their signaling networks. The respective thermodynamic entropies correlate with 5-year survival for each cancer. We now show...

Energy study at different solvents for potassium Channel Protein by Monte Carlo, Molecular and Langevin Dynamics Simulations

Potassium Channels allow potassium flux and are essential for the generation of electric current acrossexcitable membranes. Potassium Channels are also the targets of various intracellular controlmechanisms; such that the suboptimal regulation of channel function might be related to pathologicalconditions. Realistic studies of ion current in biologic channels present a major challenge for compu...
